Hello. With apologies for messing around in your userspace, I retitled your subpages with forward slashes, which titles have some technical benefits that should be readily apparent. I hope you won't mind. :-) —No-One Jones (m) 23:31, 19 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Hey, I don't know how you get your hands on all that chart data—I search and search and can't up with all that—but I'm in your debt for improving the chart info and format at Autobiography (album). Much appreciated. Everyking 09:15, 23 Nov 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Article Licensing
Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 1000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:
- Multi-Licensing FAQ - Lots of questions answered
- Multi-Licensing Guide
- Free the Rambot Articles Project
To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:
- Option 1
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
OR
- Option 2
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

- Quoth: I have released all my text contributions into the public domain.
- Can you put this notice somewhere on your user page or User:DCEdwards1966/Copyrights with "MultiLicensePD"? That way we can have you explicitly stating this. Thanks! – Ram-Man (comment) (talk)[[]] 13:21, Dec 10, 2004 (UTC)
[edit] thanks
I understand the capitalization issue now. -Emerman.

according to http://en.wikipedia.org/w/wiki.phtml?title=Wikipedia%3ACategories_for_deletion&diff=8409018&oldid=8408960 you just deleted an issue and replicated another? 132.205.15.43 01:00, 14 Dec 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Jonesville
Born in Jonesville, eh? (I checked your user page after you fixed my typo in Lee County, Virginia - I was curious why anybody would be reading that obscure article!) I lived in Pennington Gap in the early 1980s while working for the Kingsport Times-News - haven't been back in two decades, but one of these days I'm going to take the kids there. - DavidWBrooks 18:41, 23 Dec 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Seven fixed
Done -- it's been awhile since I fixed a bad page move, but I think I got it right. BTW, if I nominated you for adminship, would you accept? I'm not sure you'd get in, since you appear to have only been active since September and I think some people prefer more time than that. Also, many (most?) of your edits are creating album articles with little more than the template and basic info -- this doesn't bother me at all, since it certainly makes it easier to add content when I don't have to go find recording dates and reviews and the like, but some people might not want to count these edits. So... it might be better to wait another month or two. What do you think? Do you have any particularly wonderful articles you've written I could point to? Tuf-Kat 22:19, Dec 23, 2004 (UTC)
- And you have been nominated! You'll have to accept your nomination formally at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship. Tuf-Kat 03:46, Dec 24, 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Van Halen: heavy metal?
Hi. I noticed on some of the Van Halen album pages you created or modified that you have classified them as heavy metal although the band page states them as hard rock. There is a distinct difference (at least to me), and I have always thought of Van Halen as a hard rock band, never heavy metal. RedWolf 04:05, Dec 29, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Evan Seinfeld
Yeah, after doing an extensive search, I came to the same conclusion that Evan and Jerry Seinfeld are not brothers. While they both are from Brooklyn, Evan is some 18 years younger than Jerry. This does not explain why Jerry Seinfeld had a cameo on Oz in which he was killed by Evan Seinfeld's character. Also, I recall hearing something years ago about the Seinfeld theme being written by Evan, and they Jerry played some of it as well, but reading about it now, it looks like someone from Incubus or some other band wrote it. Good work though.

[edit] VfD
Heya, a word of warning: I think you may be adding VfDs to yesterday's second-level page. --fvw* 04:45, 2005 Jan 9 (UTC)
[edit] Dear DCEdwards1966
(please refer to delete votes)

- Dear Wiki contributors, admins & sysops. You have been mislead by Curps. Please see that article in question and decide for yourselves if deletion is a correct Wiki thing to do. I have decided not to pursue the re-naming of Curps's article 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and through consultation with other helpful Wikis, I have decided to start a series of Asian Tsunami articles on my own ... there is freedom to initiate such a move right ? The articles in questions is proposed to drill deep in the subject in question. In Asian tsunami : The earthquake I have attempted to focus just on the earthquake that caused the Asian Tsunamis. In Asian tsunami : Time-line (currently vandalised by Curps), I have drilled down to the exact minutes to minutes account of the waves of deadly tsunamis. I will be added other article in the Asian tsunami series like the humanitarian aspects, current news & occurrences etc. because I think it is the right thing to do. kenkam 06:55, 10 Jan 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Wikimania in Atlanta!
Hi! I noticed your involvement on U.S. South-related articles, categories and WikiProjects, and I wanted to let you know about a bid we're formulating to get next year's Wikimania held in Atlanta! If you would like to help, be sure to sign your name to the "In Atlanta" section of the Southeast team portion of the bid if you're in town, or to the "Outside Atlanta" section if you still want to help but don't live in the city or the suburbs. If you would like to contribute more, please write on my talk page, the talk page of the bid, or join us at the #wikimania-atlanta IRC chat on freenode.org. Have a great day!
P.S. While this is a template for maximum efficiency, I would appreciate a note on my talk page so I know you got the message, and what you think. This is time-sensitive, so your urgent cooperation is appreciated. :) Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 09:48, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- I'm aware you live in Tennessee; I'm just sending out the templates to out-of-state people who are active on Wikipedia and would probably be interested in the bid. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 09:48, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
