[edit] How I found this site
My first experiance with Wikipedia was in sixth grade when I used the site for a report on whale sharks. I was suprised by the level of detail. I did not know at the time that the site was able to be edited by anyone.
[edit] First steps toward editing
When I first found out that anyone could edit wikipedia I started editing under an IP Address. I was worried about Making an account because I thought It would cost money or something of that sort. My first edits were quite careful and were only grammatical corrections.
After a long consideration I decided to Log on to Wikipedia as a certified User. I thought of the name DBZROCKS Because I like dragonball Z and I was probably going to edit mostly Dragonball articles anywhey. My first edits were reverting Vandalism but scince I didn't know how to revert I was just deleting the text. Do'h!
After three months of editing I had a good amount of edits. I also learned many new Wikipedian skills like reverting and linking.
[edit] Later than later
Now 5 months after the creation of my user account I have gotten over 1,000 edits, it was durring this time that I got aquanted with wikipedia policies and uploaded my first image. Also I started reporting vandals to WP:AIV and continued warning them on their talk pages.
[edit] Editing Habits
I usually add to Dragonball related pages and as you can see I am a wikiproject Dragonball participent. Also I edit Pokémon pages sometimes via List of Pokémon. Im not really good with making major changes but I am trying my best to change that so I can better follow WP:BOLD.
[edit] Edit Summaries
When I make edits, I tend to make odd edit summaries, this is mostly because I need something to keep me occupied when reverting vandalism and the like. If I have a ??? edit summary this means that the content I reverted was either poorly writen or was just so laughably confusing that I had nothing to say about it.
[edit] Contacting Me
If you wish to ask me a question or if you want to talk to me or comment you can go to my talk page. Since I am still in school I will not be able to respond to comments made from 8:45 Am-3:45 PM (or 8:45-15:45) U.S.A. eastern time until 3:45. If you need to you can E-Mail me.

[edit] User Page
My user page is one of my favorite pages. It has come a long way from a horrible excuse for a stub to what you see today. I enjoy improving my user page with ideas I have seen in other user pages to make it better though usually specify the user I got the idea from just to give credit. A list of Users who have inspired Changes in my user page is below
- Poetic Decay- inspired the Wiki Pals section of my user boxes.

Time and time again you've improved those DBZ-related articles with all your might and helped me out whenever you could. You definitely deserve this award. Your friend, Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 02:26, 1 November 2007 (UTC) |
[edit] Tips for Success on Wikipedia
In this section are some tips for success on Wikipedia. Of course these are only my thoughts and not wikipedia policy (most of them at least) so feel free to ignore them.
- Create a User page. Not only will this help show other wikipedians that you are serious about editing wikipedia and you plan to stay awhile, having a red link makes you look like a quick user made to vandalise wikipedia.
- Have a good Username. This is Key to making sure you are respected and recodnised. A user name should summerize you or what you plan to do on Wikipedia. User names should be easy to read and abbriviate, names similar to jlasdjlasdare going to make communication with other wikipedians hard and just plain annoying.
- Always Always use Edit Summaries. What you put in your edit summaries will often determine if users will revert your edits or not. Edit summaries should tell other users what change you made to the page. Don't make edit summaries like, "I fixed this" instead use something like "I fixed (insert paragraph/section/setence/ect. here). This makes it so that people don't have to check the differences between revisions to see what you did.
- Use talk pages. Talk pages are wonderful things that let you talk to other Wikipedians to help improve the article. Users have their own talk pages as well. Do you disagree with another users edits? If its just a minor mistake, fix it, however, if it is something up for debate, contact them on their user page to see if a agreement can be made. However talk pages have rules that need to be followed. For one, talk pages are not for foruming, disuss only about improving the article. Also advertising and talking about things unrelated to the topic are big no no's.
- Speak coherentaly. Using proper grammer, spelling and puctuation on Talk Pages is always nice. You are more likely to be heard and responded to when you spell words correctally. HEy guies I fuond some gr8 in4mation on teh article. That is an example of how not to talk. Also never, ever insult your fellow editors, even when they may have said something offensve. Keeping a cool demenor is more likely to make other users listen to you then if you insult them. Also you never know, they might not know as much about the subject as you, or may have differnt opinions about it, thats ok, don't argue about it.
