Dear Figma, Thank you for your welcome. I've added some references to the article physician, as well as some relevant external links. I have 3 problems: (1) Are these additions enough to remove the 'references needed' tag at the article's top? This was added by an apparently experienced editor soon after I made my first attempt at editing, and I hesitate to remove it. (2) in the text, a couple of external references don't show up with the funny little superscript arrow that indicates a web site (though they are highlighted in blue and do lead to the website), and I'm not sure what I've done wrong. (3) the pretty picture at the top no longer shows up properly: this wasn't done by me but I notice there have been lots of minor edits. DavidB 20:08, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- Hello DBetty,
- (1) The 'references needed' tag can be removed but you have to make sure that the article has all its citations and references fixed up, but by the looks of your edits, they look great. I will kindly look over the article for you and then if I am happy with it, I'll remove the tag for you.
- (2) The external references look fine to me but if you could give me an example to what you mean by this I will gladly assist you in fixig this.
- (3) Could you give me more information on the 'pretty picture'? The main picture on the right at the top of the article is fine to me.
- If you require any further assistance, dont hesitate to re-add the {{helpme}} tag at the top and ask another question. Thank you! Extranet (Talk | Contribs) 21:35, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Regarding your work on Physician
First off, thanks for all your great work! You've put a lot of time into that article and it's really shaped up.
As to your questions, here's what I think: 1) The references you added seem quite adequate to me. I'd say be bold and remove the tag. You could check with the user who added it, as a courtesy, if you like, but that's not necessary. 2) I'm sorry, I don't quite see what you're getting at with this question. It all looks in fine shape to me. Can you give me a specific example or two? 3)The article as I view it currently has a pretty picture at the top. ("The Doctor" by Fildes is what you're talking about, yes?) Maybe it has something to do with the browser you're using?
Also, David, if you'd like your signature to be different from your user name you can do that by changing it in "my preferences". That way people have a link to your userspace at the end of your messages. Let me know if you need help with that. Cheers, Figma – temporarily signing as myname 21:51, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
