How can anyone determine if a category every had an article in it other than checking the history of every article in Wikipedia? -- Samuel Wantman 08:33, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

I have the same question. --Descendall 06:26, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
Likewise, I've wondered the same thing. There's no mechanism that I can find that gives the history of what's been added to and removed from a category in order to give definitive proof that a category has in fact been empty for four days, a requirement for the C1 criterion. I have no idea whether a category has been empty for four days when I find these things on the speedy deletion page, and so I have to go on faith that these categories have been blank for the required four days in order to speedy it. Of course there are maintenance cats that are supposed to be empty... Rich Farmbrough, 12:15 14 September 2007 (GMT).
