This page may meet Wikipedia’s criteria for speedy deletion. This picture/multimedia file is available as a bit-for-bit identical copy on Wikimedia Commons under the same name, and satisfies certain additional conditions. See CSD I8.

If this page does not meet the criteria for speedy deletion, please remove this notice.

Before deleting the file, please verify that an identical copy actually exists on Commons and is not marked for deletion, and that the following requirements from speedy deletion criterion I8 are met:

  • The license terms for this file are clearly acceptable for Commons, and its source and license information are not in any doubt.
  • Unless moved to Commons by its uploader, this file has been tagged with {{NowCommons}} for a week without objection.
  • All past revisions of this file and all relevant information on this page, including the original upload history, have been properly copied to Commons.

If there is any information on this page that is relevant to Wikipedia but not to Commons, such as {{FeaturedPicture}} templates, it should be restored after the file has been deleted. The requirements above do not apply to {{c-uploaded}} images, which may be deleted as soon as they are off the Main Page, nor to redundant local description pages with no accompanying file and no useful content.
Administrators: check links, history (last), and logs before deletion.

This template is used to tag pages for speedy deletion under the speedy deletion criteria, specifically CSD I8. There is a separate template for each criterion – see the table to the right.

This template places the page in the category Candidates for speedy deletion.

The template should be placed at the top of the page to be deleted.

This is the most basic form of the template.

{{db-i8|bot=ExampleBot}}

Bot accounts will specify the |bot= parameter to notify the reviewing admin that the page was tagged by an automated process.

{{db-i8|NameOnCommons}}

Where NameOnCommons is the name of the duplicate image at commons, if this is different to the name on Wikipedia. If this parameter is not specified, it is assumed that the image name is the same.
