[edit] Speedy deletion of Alan Stevens
A tag has been placed on Alan Stevens requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Justin Eiler (talk) 16:48, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] March 2008
Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Magic Bullet Productions. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. Dekisugi (talk) 17:20, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
- Well, it's an automatic script. But why did you remove the CSD tag? Dekisugi (talk) 17:25, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
No it's okay. At least you gave your reason in the discussion page. An admin will review the CSD request. By the way, it's unusual though to insert CSD tag for an old page (I didn't do it). Usually an old article is brought to WP:AfD instead. Dekisugi (talk) 17:30, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 17:28, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion of Magic Bullet Productions.
Hi, Dayofthetriffids. No, speedy deletion is not solely for new articles, though you're correct that it is usually used for them. My biggest concern with MBP is that while they have done work in the industry, they really haven't done anything that satisfies Wikipedia's notability guidelines--or if they have, the article doesn't mention it.
Now, if you happen to have more info to expand the article, and most especially if you have info that fulfills the notability guidelines, please feel free to add it. Getting rid of a poor article is a necessary thing to do, but getting a good article is a thousand times better! Justin Eiler (talk) 18:09, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of Magic Bullet Productions
An editor has nominated Magic Bullet Productions, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Magic Bullet Productions and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 13:59, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
