Dayn Perry

Dayn Perry (b. 1972) is an Internet baseball writer and sabermetrician. His work can be found on Fox Sports.com, where he serves as the number-two baseball writer behind Ken Rosenthal, as well as on BaseballProspectus.com, where he writes a regular "Can of Corn" column. He's a former baseball writer for ESPN.com.
Perry has published a book entitled Winners: How Good Baseball Teams Become Great Ones (And It's Not the Way You Think) (New York: Wiley, 2006) (ISBN 0471721743). With Baseball Prospectus, in addition to his regular column, Perry has contributed to many of the annual books as well as to Baseball Between the Numbers (ISBN 0465005470). He's presently at work on an unauthorized biography of Reggie Jackson.
Perry is a Mississippi native who now lives in Chicago. He's elicited controversy for his shifting stances on the steroids issue and for his recent distaste for Barry Bonds.
He's also the uncle of recording artist Kimberly Perry.
