The Dayang Newt (Cynops orphicus) is a species of salamander in the Salamandridae family. It is found only in China. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montanes, rivers, freshwater lakes, freshwater marshes, rural gardens, heavily degraded former forest, and ponds. It is threatened by habitat loss.
