D.A.V Public School was founded in 1988. It is an Arya Samaj based school. It is one of the most prestigious schools of Kolkata and it has produced excellent results in the following years in board examination.

The school was founded by the D.A.V group of schools and colleges in 1888. Previously the school was ground based but now it is one of the biggest school buildings in India.

The full name of the school is Dayanand Anglo Vedic Public School. The school is located in Taratola, Kolkata. Starting with a hardly a dozen of students, the school now has almost 4000 [[students], 60 teachers and 175 members of non-teaching staff. The school has won many awards in quizzes and other activities both in state and national level.it is also situated in hyderabad.it has more thane 5000 students,100 teachers.
