Dax Randall Shepard (January 2, 1975) is an American actor.
Shepard was born in Milford, Michigan, he attended Walled Lake Central High School. Later, he attended The Groundlings School and Groundlings Sunday Company. He also attended UCLA to receive a degree in anthropology.
Dax's acting career started with his film debut in Hairshirt (1998). After performing in a chain of smaller television and film roles, he joined the Punk'd team. His exposure through Punk'd led to film roles in movies such as Employee of the Month, Cheaper by the Dozen, Without a Paddle, Zathura, and Idiocracy.
On the October 3, 2006 edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Shepard declared that he is a Libertarian and opposed the War in Iraq.
In November of 2007, Shepard started dating actress Kristen Bell.[1]
