Welcome to Wikipedia, Dawnalee8! I am PeterSymonds and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome! [edit] Higher Education in British Columbia

Great start so far. I've moved it to your userspace for now, so it doesn't get put up for deletion by the deletionists. So it's now at User:Dawnalee8/Higher Education in British Columbia, where you can edit it in the normal way. I'll read it thoroughly then give you my opinions about improvement etc. PeterSymonds (talk) 13:31, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

No, I'll explain. In two days, your user account will become autoconfirmed, which means your user rights will increase. You will get an extra "move" tab next to the "history" tab at the top of the page, which will allow you to move pages. When a page is moved, a redirect is created. After you become autoconfirmed (automatically, you aren't notified), you can move it back to its original title; but let me know when you do, because I'll have to delete the redirect that's created (cross-namespace redirects are generally not allowed). Hi. Unfortunately Wikipedia isn't really the best place to do these sort of assignments, because it's by definition an encyclopedia that anyone can edit. Potentially your work could be torn apart and rewritten by different people, so I hope your professor understands that! :) There's no way I can stop them from editing, because that's one of our principles. The best thing to do is work around it, taking their contributions as a good sign and moving on with its completion. If you want, you could take a note of what is your work and what is the work of other people (there shouldn't be very many people editing it, because it's in your user space and thus more difficult to find). Hope that helps. Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 09:47, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Org07 internet.gif

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Org07 internet.gif. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NAHID 20:43, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Hey, You

I just want you to know that I read your message and did some research. I honestly had no idea this was part of a project. My apologies. It looked like vandalism, but I wasn't sure.

Thanks for the heads up. WadeSimMiser (talk) 00:56, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Hey, You (2)

I don't really think either you nor your professor understands what Wikipedia is. But I'm not out to make your life difficult or to mess around with whatever you're trying to do. I'm not going to mess with the page. --Mblumber (talk) 02:11, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Higher Education

Looks good. I'm literally out the door so I can't look at it properly at the moment, but I will do sometime this afternoon. Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 09:15, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
