[edit] College football win streak

Yo Dawg! How's it going today? My first thought is the subject (FBS Active win steak) is a bit too narrow for an article, and I'm not sure what else there is to say once you've said "The current longest active winning streak in Division I-FBS college football as of January 14, 2008 is held by BYU with 10 wins."[1] (And here I thought you went to UGA for some reason :-)).

But seriously, I also think an active record that is prone to being volatile isn't the best WP article topic (I acknowledge the irony that many of the articles I edit are highly volatile during football season). A slightly better candidate for an article might be something like College football winning streaks that covers historical (All-time records), as well as current active streaks (FBS, FCS, D-II, D-III) both overall and home; much in the way that World's busiest airport handles the various claims to that title. Yo Tiger! Going fine! You are right about it being a bit narrow and volitile. I meant that we could look at the active winning streak in a historical context up through current a la Earliest_serving_living_United_States_president but, since those dudes don't die that often, I guess that it is a different ball of wax. And really...I was unaware BYU fielded a team this year ;)

Thanks for the input...maybe we can collaborate on an article soon.Dawginroswell (talk) 12:25, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Ouch, the title of that presidents article almost made my head hurt; but yes, I think that sort of listing would be too long (and volatile). Btw, it's easy to forget that there are some places that claim to play college football west of Baton Rouge; it's best that we continue to humor them though. :-) Always up for a collaboration; let me know about any other ideas you have for that. Hi, the only pictures of Emory I have up on that page are Emory Clocktower.JPG and Sir Ahmed Salman Rushdie.jpg. Both are under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.5 License so you're free to use them under those conditions. Out of curiosity, what would they be used for?
