This article centers around the life of one of today's rising authoresses and dramatic performers. Katharyn King was born on March 10th, 1990 in Corona, California as Rachel Anne King to proud parents William and Karin. She grew up in the city of Perris, however, and was homeschooled until the age of eight (approx). Because of her parents' marital disputes, she and her older sister, Bethany, were hurled into the bittersweet world of public school.

On her ninth birthday, Rachel's parents went to court to settle their divorce. Fragmented and utterly bewildered, it is amazing that Rachel, later to be known as Katharyn Rachelle-Anne King, ever survived the trauma that accompanies the destruction of a family.

Later, she began studying foreign languages and, at the age of 11 took up French. She considers linguistics and foreign languages to be one of her favorite topics of conversation.

In elementary school, she was awarded with the Mason's Award of 2002 for an essay she wrote about the rewards of mentoring challenged young minds. She also received several other commendations and accreditations along the way and throughout junior high school. This is where her love for theatre began to blossom into a whole new passion.

Finally, this budding young actress ascended to the theatrical world of on-stage performance while attending Centennial High School in her sophomore year. She took the leading role in an original stage production called "Deck the Stage" as Ms. Meyermyer, a second grade teacher on the verge of a nervous collapse trying to teach her students a parodied version of "The Twelve Days of Christmas."

At the conclusion of this phenomenal performance, Katharyn won the Best Actress in a Comedy Award of 2006 by her fellow Drama Department peers and fans.
