[edit] Synopsis
Riad, an Iraqi soldier survivor of the first Gulf War, finds refuge in the marshlands of Mesopotamia, at the delta of the Euphrates and Tigris rivers. He dreams of beginning a new life with Zahra, the young widow of one of his deads comrades. But unable to bear the loss of her husband, Zahra shuts herself off. In this completely foreign environment, hostile to this new comer and as a new war is on the verge of flaming up the country, Riad will do the impossible to find his place.
