Dawn of Light, also known as DOL is an open source server emulator for the MMORPG Dark Age of Camelot. It is written in C# , with limited support for Mono The project can emulate nearly all aspects of the game and server operators can modify the server to adapt custom rules using the .NET Framework

There are around 8 freeshards using DOL , with around 30 - 200 players each at any given time , whereas the official servers manage player counts 10 times that high.

The server is released under the GNU General Public Licence
