Dawn Pettengill is the Iowa State Representative from the 39th District. She has served in the Iowa House of Representatives since 2004. On April 30, 2007, she switched to the Republican Party party, having previously served in the House as a Democrat.[1]
Pettengill currently serves on several committees in the Iowa House - the Agriculture committee; the Commerce committee; and the Ways and Means committee. She also serves on the Administration and Regulation Appropriations Subcommittee.
Pettengill was re-elected in 2006 with 6,365 votes, defeating Republican opponent Connie Jacobsen. [2]
