Dawn Courtney

Dawn Courtney is an American politician from southwest Washington state.
In 2004 Courtney ran as a Republican in the Third Congressional District of Washington. The seat is currently held by Democrat Brian Baird.
Courtney was one of two Republicans vying for the party's nomination. In the primary election 14 September 2004, she lost to Tom Crowson, who went on to lose to Baird in the general election on 2 November 2004.
In 2005 Courtney ran for the Washington state House of Representatives in a special election to fill a vacant seat in WA HD-19. She was the only Republican to run in the primary. She faced Democrat Dean Takko and Libertarian Judy Fiest in the general election in November 2005, coming in a distant second place.
Courtney currently serves at State Committeewoman of the Cowlitz County Republican Party.
