I understand that this is currently a very poor article, but it is just so worthwhile I don't understand how it has not alreay been included.

I can include references, but they are specific to specific problems, and "triggering" is a term shared by many illnesses, perhaps without any single definition.

The article does indeed already exist, but under the title Trauma trigger. I've redirected your article page to the existing one, so anyone in the future who searches "triggering" will be automatically taken to the right article. :)
