[edit] License tagging for Image:Ellis.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Ellis.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 21:06, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
- Greetings. This is a great image, but we can only use "free" images on Wikipedia. That means if Wikipedia is authorized to use it, but reusers of Wikipedia's material are not authorized to use it, then we can't. If you're willing to release the image under a free license (such as the GFDL or a Creative Commons license), then we can use it -- but so can anyone else, even for profit, without having to ask your permission. If you're not willing to release it under a free license, then we can't use. Thanks, – Quadell (talk) (random) 18:01, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of David Robert Wooten
I've nominated David Robert Wooten, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that David Robert Wooten satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/David Robert Wooten and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of David Robert Wooten during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you.Eva bd 19:03, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
