[edit] Russ Lee

A tag has been placed on Russ Lee, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. [edit] Copyright issue with Russ Lee

Hello. Concerning your contribution, Russ Lee, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://russlee.com/theman/thetestimony.htm. As a copyright violation, Russ Lee appears to qualify for speedy deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Russ Lee has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message. For text material, please consider rewriting the content and citing the source, provided that it is credible.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Russ Lee and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Russ Lee with a link to where we can find that note.
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Russ Lee.

However, for text content, you may want to consider rewriting the content in your own words. Thank you, and please feel free to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Finngall 19:48, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

(Copied from the article's talk page in case the article gets deleted)
Info on how to go about obtaining permission to use copyrighted material can be found here. However, you should also know that any permission that is granted must carry with it the permission for other Wikipedia editors to modify it. Every article here can be freely modified by anyone, and this one would be no different. In addition, the standard for articles is that they be written from a neutral point of view, and promotional material from the subject's own web site rarely fits the bill. I personally would advise replacing this passage with biographical material written in your own words, preferably using more sources than just the subject's own web site. Hope this helps. [edit] License tagging for Image:Dctj.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Dctj.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:05, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] David Taylor Jr.

Just to make sure you'll see this - Wikipedia has a notability policy, which is one of our core policies. There are a variety of different sub policies, but the main this is that a subject can only have an article on Wikipedia if the subject of the article has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial works from independent sources. At present, the article David Taylor Jr. fails the notability criteria. Natalie 23:22, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:2007comeseemelogo.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:2007comeseemelogo.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 21:20, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
