[edit] Thanks for your help
Thanks for your help on the Lake Placid bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton track article. It earned a DYK yesterday! Chris (talk) 14:49, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Category:Hawaii history stubs
Hi. Please see my comments here. We're not supposed to create history stub templates and categories without the approval of the stub project. Also, WikiProject Hawaii is already using a Stub-Class assessment system, so if you want to sort by history, a task force is the next logical step. —Viriditas | Talk 08:45, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- Not a problem. Look forward to working with you. —Viriditas | Talk 08:52, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- I've been thinking, why don't you go ahead and just request the stub template through the normal channels on the Stub project page? Even though I'm biased against them, it may work for you, as you seem to have a vision in this regard, and I think it is important to encourage that. It would also give you practice with the correct procedure. :) It shouldn't have any impact on whether we create a task force, a separate project, or whatever. In case you need the link to the procedure, it's here. —Viriditas | Talk 09:26, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Re:WP:WSS/P (Hawaii history stub)
Hi - noticed your proposal on the Stub sorters page about a Hawaii history stub and your second thoughts about it... FWIW, a lot of WikiProjects prefer using WikiProject-specific talk page templates, which allow them to assess all articles covered by a topic, rather than just stubs. They require a bit more coding knowledge than stub templates, but are ultimately far more useful (see {{WPBeatles}} for an example of one in action). Grutness...wha? 00:19, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Good news
User:Phoenix-wiki has proposed an American history task force on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject United States. Would you be willing to contact him as a representative for Hawaii history articles related to American history and help coordinate? —Viriditas | Talk 12:08, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
