My hometown is Hohhot, but actually I don't speak the Cidi-Hua. [I don't know how to respond to your message, so I just added my answer on my own discussion page. :-) ]

yes, I used to speak the Hohhot Mandarin. But now I just speak Mandarin, although I can still remember some of the old accent. Well, the motivation for me to edit that page is your claim that only women use the "e" form for "I". Actually I used to use it, and many of my guy friends used it too. The "ye" form is used by uneducated people, and most nice people would try to avoid saying it. Teachers and parents would always tell kids not to learn to speak like that.
