David, thanks for your note. Please do expand the article - I had a suprisingly difficult time find decent sources for it and there's so much more to say.
By the way, do you know that when you post a message to a talk page you can sign it by typing 4 tildes (~~~~) which creates something like this: Ian ≡ talk 01:33, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
Feel free to ask for any help if you feel you need it. Regards -- Ian ≡ talk 01:33, 16 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Rotto Cottages
That should be a separate list article! SatuSuro 01:50, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] User Page
Has anybody pointed out that your info should be on user page, and that talk page is for exhcanging messages yet? You show up as a red link on watchlists and it looks really odd :) A simple cut and paste could do it!SatuSuro 02:03, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
Then the other thing is, the more venturous you get (like the list of cottages on rotto) you can over time attract vandals, and other interesting creatures that are not necessarily as friendly as ian or snotty, and they will attempt to reconfigure your pages - which means that it is possible that Ian and drew/snotty or possibly myself will have your user and talk page on our watchlists - and we monitor each others user pages to make sure they are not vandalised. In case you didnt know that.
Your "advertising yourself" as you have done - is usually strongly advised against by many - if you trawl user pages - many have pseudonyms, and refuse to give personal details... wiki for that matter is what i would call "goldfishbowl": every word is picked up by google and parallel universe wiki's, of which there are at least two. Smile :) while everyone is watching you!
Anyway, just remember it is better to err on the side of caution in the wiki world, if you wish to be led down the dark path (unless snotty/drew, or ian or others have communicated ouside of wiki about all this) just trawl into some of the black, and dark side of the place - just type in something you dont particularly like, or something you find morally abhorent (oops you are a journo - maybe there isnt) and type it in, and there it is an article about it! Best Wishes! SatuSuro 08:25, 19 January 2006 (UTC) If easily offended by things - they're all in here!
Happy? Its up to you. Hey I might be critical - but we're perthites, we got to watch out for each other! I mean I used to go to school a couple of blocks away from where you live, and I know some of your predecesssors or compatriots, that's not that many degrees of separation? :)
Re your user page - If you havent been given the line on the degrees of separation re the info, all you is need sub pages, or links - and that is usually enough - take my sub pages, you could probably work out who I am on my silly userbox page gone mad, but it's not accessed very much dosnt show on recent changes because I am rarely there. Some females had photos on their user pages, and have found less problems by removing them.
Also - vip - the second you get enough on this talk page, or if you get a raver like me and you dont like to be reminded of the tripe that I have laid upon you - all you have to do is archive your talk page - it's a cinch - and there is no fixed size/length of the page at which you choose to archive it - best to get the practice in before you really need it!
Best Wishes from the hills, SatuSuro 12:33, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Justin Cartwright
I think that the problem is Wikipedia doesn't seem to have an image of Justin Cartwright. It can be difficult to obtain photographs of living people without encountering copyright problems. For advice on how you might get a picture, you could have a look at Wikipedia:Finding images tutorial.
Your article is excellent; all I did was a bit of tidying up.
Two other thoughts: In Every Face I Meet is listed on Wikipedia:WikiProject Missing encyclopedic articles/List of notable books/4. I wondered if you might feel able to have a go at that?
I clicked on "What links here", and found there is a mention of Justin Cartwright writing a spin-off novel to The New Avengers (TV series). Can we be sure this is the same person?. CarolGray 18:18, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Ian Constable
Hi David, Normally if you mis-name an article, all you have to do is press the "move" tab and enter the correct name. I moved it to "Ian Constable" without any problems, so I don't know why you had a problem. Not to worry though, its fixed now. It looks like a nice article - I'll have a read. One tip: we don't cite academic qualifications for individuals - honorifics and only in certain cases. "Ian Jeffrey Constable AO" would normally suffice. More on that is at Wikipedia:Manual of Style (biographies). Cheers. -- I@n 07:07, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Commercial use of Image:Andrew 02 JPG (Large).jpg
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Andrew 02 JPG (Large).jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Andrew 02 JPG (Large).jpg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).
If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.
If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.
If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:Andrew 02 JPG (Large).jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 05:35, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Andrew Godfrey
Notability is still borderline in my opinion, but that may be because I'm from the States and don't have knowledge of him. I'm feeling generous, so off goes the {{notability}} tag. G'day. Realkyhick 06:14, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Nattrass
Hi David, I reverted the edit you made to Nattrass. Unless this another reason is why he is notable, it probably does not need inclusion in the article. It reeks a bit of muckraking, check the policy on living peoples biographies before adding to them. Let me know if you disagree, if you have damning (with a good citation) I would not object to inclusion of it. ;-) Regards, ☻ Fred|☝ discussion|✍ contributions 03:12, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Lions Eye Bank
Hi, there are many Lions Eye Banks. Might I suggest moving this article to Lions Eye Bank (Perth)? Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 01:20, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Media awards
Hi david good to see youre still around despite whatever - the format you are composing in is not really standard wikipedia format - hope you dont mind if i play with it a bit at some point - the tag on the talk page and the category at the bottom are there as basic insurance - you need them as early as possible from the lurking demons :) SatuSuro 06:58, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply - do you know of similar events/in other states? it would be good to try for some see also and or comparisons - cheers SatuSuro 10:16, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
I have so many bits and pieces re the media awards and liz article -if we could meet up for a coffee in the cbd sometime in the next week or so we could probably sort out more problems face to face than we ever could by email - email my gmail in 'email this user' in the left column - so I get the right connection - i'll trade my mobile number and we might arrange a time - cheers SatuSuro 09:02, 2 March 2008 (UTC) If that is not a viable option - there is probably about 4-5 emails over some of the issues of the media awards article i need to tackle on - and about 3 or 4 over the liz article - cheers SatuSuro 09:23, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] nomination for deletion
A tag has been placed on Scoop (journalism magazine), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. LukeTheSpook (talk) 02:07, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
Contesting the irrelevent charge - it needs to find some WP:N that has nothing to do with those listed above (sigh) - will do a job on it in a moment - please email me if you have any issues with my re-write - thanks SatuSuro 10:23, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Lovekin drive sign.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Lovekin drive sign.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 12:04, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Please
Do not start articles like the community newspapers one - unless you get a category worked out when you are starting it - and do the tag on the talk page the hungry monsters of speedy delete will descend upon you with theire beary breath and red eyes again :( SatuSuro 11:14, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
Please have a look at what i did to it - it needs more third party refs to get through the notability hoops - please do not leave half eaten dog breakfasts lying around like that - its better to create like that on a sub page and get one of us to do the fancy work on it than putting it out there - less aggravating - cheers SatuSuro 11:25, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
I sure hope you dont expect me to be polite or careful with my words re all this - cheers :) SatuSuro 11:31, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
