[edit] Court citations and infoboxes.
Greetings. I noticed that you've been working on court citations and infoboxes in some cases, and wanted to point out that we have been having a discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject U.S. Supreme Court cases about standardizing the use of these features. The "Link to Court Citation and footnote to external link" seems to have the most support (or at least the least opposition), and I've recently changed all of the cases I contributed over to that format. (see, e.g., Muskrat v. United States. Cheers! BD2412 T 12:38, 1 December 2005 (UTC)
- Wikiprojects never die - they just take extended naps! The rationale for the favored citation is pretty strong, tho - not having an external link in the first line of text. I'm working on a compromise idea for infoboxes to make them more flexible - basically, to stack three on top of each other, one with the citation and case history, one with the bench, and one with the opinions. [edit] Table, tags
Well, you're welcome. I'm always happy to know Wikipedia has such committed new users.
As for tables, there's a great tutorial of sorts at Help:Table. Tables in Wikipedia were once solely HTML, but I think the MediaWiki version has allowed tables for about a year or so.
The citation template is written as follows: {{ussc|x|y|YEAR}}, which will produce a citation like x U.S. y (YEAR). I can't recall what the numbers x and y refer to, but you might.
If you need any more assistance, I'll be happy to help. --Merovingian 22:21, 1 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Comments
Thank you, DavidDouthitt, for the corrections you made to the Shell provider article. Your changes were minor, but your work for the gradual improvement of Wikipedia is appreciated by many, including those who do not often make it verbal. - Chrisbrunner.com 12:08, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Peregrine Foundation
Peregrine Foundation has been proposed for deletion. An editor felt this organization or company might not yet be notable enough for an article. Please review Wikipedia:Notability (companies and corporations) for the relevant guidelines. If you can improve the article to address these concerns, please do so.
If no one objects to the deletion within five days by removing the prod notice, the article may be deleted without further discussion. If you remove the prod notice, the deletion process will stop, but if an editor is still not satisfied that the article meets Wikipedia guidelines, it may be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion for consensus. [edit] Regarding edits made to Anna Nicole Smith
Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, DavidDouthitt! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule \bexample\.com, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links policy for more information. If the link was to an image, please read Wikipedia's image tutorial on how to use a more appropriate method to insert the image into an article. If your link was intended to promote a site you own, are affiliated with, or will make money from inclusion in Wikipedia, please note that inserting spam into Wikipedia is against policy. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! Shadowbot 20:19, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Little house Little Lou.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Little house Little Lou.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:11, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of SmallWiki
SmallWiki, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that SmallWiki satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/SmallWiki and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of SmallWiki during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Guy (Help!) 16:40, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:OMEGA.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:OMEGA.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 00:43, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
