David Eric Walker Meikle is a comercial pilot and computer engineer working at the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory (CTIO), he is currently working on deploying 7 All Sky Cameras in both Mexico, Chile and Hawaii. These use SBIG ST-1001E cameras with an 8mm Nikon fisheye lens and take approximately 1000 images every night every 30 seconds. The images can see from horizon to horizon and are used for monitoring clouds, light pollution and changes in the night sky in blue ,red ,Na ,Y and Z filters.

He currently lives in La Serena, Chile and married on the 11/02/2006 Pia Bustos, who works as a lawyer in La Serena.
