[edit] I'm back!
My Wikibreak lasted quite a bit longer than expected. My apologies if I've left anyone in a lurch; my semester ended up being much more difficult than I expected. But here I am; I should be active for the foreseeable future. Thanks for your understanding!
[edit] Welcome!
My name is David. I am an MBTI:ENFP, Christian college student in Indianapolis, Indiana, and I have a very eclectic knowledge base (some, myself included, might call it "useless"). I've edited topics from Stargate, Doctor Who and Harry Potter to The Melting Pot, Mr. Six, and Back to the Future: The Ride. A lot of my editing efforts are channeled into Recent Changes patrolling, as well.
As far as my Wikipedia philosophy goes, I suppose I'm a delusionist. I judge most edits on a case-by-case basis. That said, however, I really dislike patent nonsense. I find it childish and unnecessary. Oh, and vandalism - but who likes that, really? Except the vandals...
Anyway, that's why you might see me using {{subst:db-nonsense}}, {{subst:nspp|PAGETITLE}}, and the UWTs at the bottom of Template:Test. (Well, actually, I use TWINKLE, but the end result is the same.)
I'm a HUGE fan of Wikihumor. "Wikipedia is an MMORPG" and "Deleted Articles with Freaky Titles" are two of my favorites. This amused me, too.
I'm also available on Meta and Commons under the name IlInamorato. (me on Commons / talk - me on Meta / talk) My deviantART account is at ilinamorato.deviantart.com.
Oh, and I have WAY too many userboxes.
Anyway, look forward to working with all of you! If you want me for any reason, holla at my talk page.
See you in the funny pages!

[edit] Articles I'm Particularly Happy With
[edit] Created
I feel a sense of pride about these articles, and keep them perpetually in my watchlist to ensure quality.
- Campus Outreach, a non-denominational Christian campus ministry.
- Kissing the War Goodbye, a famous post-World War II photograph by Victor Jorgensen that appeared in Time Magazine
- Signs (game) (subsequently deleted). I did not participate in the AfD discussion, due to some important family events; but they were correct in that it did not have outside sources. It was not, however, something I made up - just, apparently, not as popular as I thought. I've kept hold of it in my user space, in case sources do eventually emerge sometime...
[edit] Essays
I find Wikipedia essays interesting and informative, and I have tried my hand...
[edit] Extensive Rewrites
Though it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, I feel a sense of accomplishment for these articles.
- Back to the Future: The Ride. I rewrote much of the plot and history section, folding trivia into the article-at-large.
- Paint.NET. I reworded and consolidated a great deal of this article (and I highly recommend this free program).
[edit] Not written by me, but fun moments:
Reverting vandalism, Help with compromise, etc.
- Jimbo's User Page! I caught vandalism and reverted it before anyone else. I'm pretty happy with myself!
[edit] To-Do List
If anyone else would like to tackle these, you're more than welcome to jump in. Just leave me a message on my talk page letting me know you did it!
[edit] To Create / Expand
- Seam carving, one of the coolest things to happen to image editing in a long time.
[edit] Essays to Pontificate Upon
[edit] To Extensively Rewrite
-
- Tear down and rebuild to satisfy tags (In-universe, plot section, etc.)
-
- It's crufty and OR'y.
-
- More tags than an Old Navy store.
-
- Satisfy tags.
-
- What else am I going to do?
- Make people's day! This one's perpetual, and anyone can do it. Just click this magic button and tell the person you find on the other end (it's random) something happy!
