[edit] Questioning Name Change
I noticed that some time ago this article was renamed from 'Dave the Dolphin' to 'Davina the Dolphin' after the sex of the dolphin was determined to be female. I feel I must say, that this (name=davina) never really 'took'. A few people preferred to refer to the dolphin as 'Davina' when it was found out she female, as well as ONE or TWO newspaper article(s). But in the mainstay, the dolphin is still refered as 'Dave' in all scientific published articles both before and after this date, in all newspaper articles, and in the ongoing court case against the two men charged with 'disturbing' her. So I'd have to question the redirect and name change. Wouldn't it be easier to simply note in the article, if need be, that, after the sex of the dolphin was revealed that the dolphin WAS occasionally referred to as Davina, rather than using an official name change and redirect? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Beakymouse (talk • contribs) 10:11, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
