[edit] Name

Is the correct name David Theile or David Thiele? Online references seem to be split. The ABC Olympic history even manages one spelling for the 1956 and 1960 Olympics, and the other for the Olympic swimming page! --Scott Davis Talk 06:44, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

According to Australian Olympic Committee historians and website, who also wrote the book I used, Theile. Also, whoever wrote the other WP swim articles (not Aussie contributors) seem to have overseas sources which also agree. Some are American I think.Blnguyen | rant-line 06:46, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
Fair enough - it's just an unusual spelling. Do you think it should have a redirect? --Scott Davis Talk 22:57, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
Why not? If others make the error a lot, then one should be there.Blnguyen | rant-line 00:28, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
