[edit] Notability concerns
A previous version of this article was deleted for copyright concerns. The deletion review highlighted notability concerns as well. Based on the information in the article now, as well as some web searches, it is highly unlikely that Mr. Gruder is notable in his own right. His two award-winning books won awards at the San Diego Book Awards, but it's unclear if the awards themselves are notable. A citation from a major San Diego or better yet an out-of-area major newspaper in 1997 or a similar citation of recent award-winners would go a long way to establishing notability for the books.
There are also issues with sources. The two existing sources are primary sources of a commercial nature. This alone makes the article sound like it might be trimmed-down spam.
If this article goes to AfD, it will likely fail unless notability can be established and independent reliable sources are provided. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 20:25, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
