This page can be built out with references that show the significance of having this article as part of Wikipedia.

The WHYI page specifically references David Ross, and he was one of the key figures as part of that organization's history. In South Florida, David Ross is very well known for his role in bringing Footy to the scene as a DJ at Y100. I believe if this article stays a lot of great information about the Y-100 History and the development of Clear Channel will result. He also was one of the first hands at Clear Channel Communications. Amidst all of the radio news, I think it's important to provide as much information about the executives involved as possible. I went in to the WHYI page and edited the David Ross link to hit this article to expand on that content.

I am hoping that by creating this article, more key information about radio consolidation and the executives both for and against it.

Let me know what I can do to improve this article's worthiness. 66.166.242.34 (talk) 16:11, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Good, if that page references him, use a reference from that page to assert notability here. There needs to be citation in the article establishing notability. Just using a wikipedia page as a reference means absolutely nothing. Also, notability is not inherited.--Oni Ookami AlfadorTalk|@ 16:11, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the help. I've got a few references I can use, I'm a bit unfamiliar with the markup for references (i.e. which tags to use on the part being referenced and what to use to properly format the reference page below. ainsworth (talk) 16:18, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
The information you want about how to cite sources is at WP:CITE. JohnCD (talk) 12:09, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Just as an update, I created this page after a lot of work interviewing David Ross about his radio career and perspectives relative to the music industry, this is why a lot of the information is dense. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ainsworthboyle (talkcontribs) 01:12, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

While AfD proceedings are underway, I've taken the liberty of transferring this article to a more suitable wiki, Wikipopuli. If you don't want it there, just put a note on my user talk page. TheYellowCabin (talk) 23:50, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
