[edit] famous private investigator

I added the word "famous" because of all his credentials, numerous magazine articles, tv appearances, his 40 year private investigation firm which is one of the largest in the South West, and his involvement in the RFK assassination. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kent28 (talkcontribs)

I agree Peter4045 18:48, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

I agree also. He seems like he lived a very interesting life. He is also very well known in the PI industry as being a very honest man. Maybe someone could start a topic on that. K69 15:18, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Spam

I removed the spam link on "Private Investigator" in the Involvement in the Robert F. Kennedy Assassination section Pablo587 21:08, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

I have no arguments with the above Kent28 21:14, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Working on improving the site

I am working on improving the site making it less like an advertisement with more references. Pablo587 22:48, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hi Wiki Editors

I'm gathering more info as we speak to clean this page up. This is an important page to have here, and I'm doing what I can to keep it up. Thanks for your patience Pablo587 14:24, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy removal tag

I have removed the speedy deletion tag. The article is not overly self-promoting. It is not blatant advertising requiring a significant re-write. Even though, I have re-written most of it plus cited more 3rd party sources.

His notability is established both through the RFK assassination, Books he's written, his presence as a private investigator with articles and television, plus his PI companie's 40 year history along with all the organizations and certs he has obtained. Pablo587 15:09, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

I don't believe Rabern's notability has been established. Rabern's claims regarding his involvement in the RFK assassination and the Bay of Pigs Invasion have yet to be backed up here by anyone other then Rabern himself in an interview he did with a reporter and Mel Ayton's research on the subject http://hnn.us/articles/32193.html heavily suggests Rabern was at neither event. I haven't found any books written by Rabern. The TV appearances and News Paper Articles have not been substantiated. Rabern.org, PI Magazine, associations listed, and Rabern's company website are not qualified sources and should not be listed as references. The article on his company was deleted by an admin. Numerous editors, including those that have contributed to this article, continue to spam his web site on Wikipedia. The link to his web site here was changed to read "Private Investigator". One has to wonder if that wasn't for the benefit of people doing a search for such on Wikipedia. I think the article should be deleted. Woxd 03:59, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

The Guardian and the BBC back up the RFK and the Bay of Pigs invasion. Books written by David Rabern - http://www.itknowledgebase.net/ejournals/books/book_summary/features.asp?id=4499 K69 15:29, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
