[edit] Spoiler tag?

Think someone could throw a spoiler tag on this article (assuming it stays, of course...) --OntarioQuizzer 21:19, 18 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Removing the VFD Tag

What is the policy regarding removal of a Vote for Deletion tag? There seem to be mixed opinions on the subject in the VFD discussion page, so can we give it the benefit of the doubt? Also, there are now several articles that link here, so deleting this article would break the links. --asert 18:30, 19 July 2005 (UTC)

A Wikipedia administrator will count the votes and make the call. Their decision is final. And it doesn't matter about how many articles link here. If the consensus is to delete, it gets deleted and the links get removed. Also, please sign your Talk Page posts. --OntarioQuizzer 02:15, 20 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Unwanted Editing

I know people have strong opinions of this guy, but can we quit the retarded trollishness please? If you want to act like a jackass you could always create an article about Madden in Uncyclopedia if you really need to get your jollies out that bad.

[edit] Clean-up

Could someone also add a clean-up tag please? Also, make a note that User:70.18.165.151 has been vandalizing this article.

[edit] VFD results

This article has survived a VFD nomination with the result of No consensus. --Allen3 talk 16:40, July 23, 2005 (UTC)

I still don't see why -- ironically enough, the VfD discussion on Madden is the #1 hit on Google for "David Madden" Jeopardy. Shouldn't that say something? --OntarioQuizzer 14:08, 28 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Season 22 start date

The next season starts on September 5, not September 12. On Maddenwatch, com, it says: "Well, we are now at the end of the season, so there won’t be any news to report for the next six weeks. However, we will be back on September 5th for more coverage of the MADDENWATCH!" According to the "List Seasons" page of the J! Archive website, for every year since 1985, the new Jeopardy! season has always started on the first Monday in September. Unless someone can prove otherwise beyond the shadow of a doubt, please do not mess with this date. --Metric1031 15:51, 29 July 2005 (UTC)

http://www.mediaweek.com/mw/search/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1000979171 . The season starts September 12. --OntarioQuizzer 16:47, 29 July 2005 (UTC)
Also, citing Maddenwatch.com -- a disreputable fan site, is only asking for trouble. --OntarioQuizzer 16:49, 29 July 2005 (UTC)
I honestly thought it was the 5th, because I thought that Alex said the hiatus was for six weeks. The hiatus began on July 25th, and six Mondays from that date would be September 5th. --asert 03:44, 31 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] reevaluate?

It seemed that most of the keep votes stemmed from the fact that he COULD become the next Ken Jennings. Is 19 wins enough for that title? If not, should this page be kept?Countmippipopolous 02:55, 20 September 2005 (UTC)

Be my guest and nominate it. --OntarioQuizzer 03:07, 20 September 2005 (UTC)
History repeats itself. Nancy Zerg beat Ken Jennings, Nancy loses on the next show. Victoria beat David, Victoria loses on the next show. Now, Victoria gets an article, it gets deleted, and it gets redirected to David Madden's article. --

[edit] Game by game statistics

Are the statistics for each game encyclopedic? I think not. Even Ken Jennings and other contestants don't have such a section. Tinlinkin 04:58, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

I'm proceeding to remove the section. Tinlinkin 07:21, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
