Talk:David Lary
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
David Lary has pioneered the technique of chemical data assimilation and made available to the community many resources, such as:
- A huge observational database of chemical constituents referred to from wikipedia, e.g. Atmospheric Chemistry in the links section.
- A comprehensive intercomparison of constituent observations from a range of platforms (satellite, aircraft, lidar, microwave, and sonde) as probability distribution functions (PDFs).
- An online presentation of chemical data assimilation results relevant to ozone depletion and the chemistry of climatically important gases, CDACentral.
His AutoChem software has won five NASA awards and has been used to perform long term chemical data assimilation of atmospheric chemistry and in the validation of observations from the NASA Aura satellite. AutoChem has been used in numerous peer reviewed articles.
