I usually include an external link to the congress website with these articles. The link would have been Congress bioguide. I didn't this time because of some confusing differences. The detail I used in the article conforms with Appleton's Biographies, the Dictionary of American Biography, and data from the University of Pennsylvania. This date (1747) makes more sense than 1730 in terms of other dated material.
This isn't the first mistake I've found in the Congressional bioguide. I have let them know, and after research they may correct it. Even if they do, it takes 12 to 18 months. Lou I 23:38, 25 July 2005 (UTC)
