[edit] Yellow Streak

I think someone more used to writing about literature than me could add something to the page about the Yellow Streak comic. For one, the "tower" on the "bushy rocks" in which YS's love interest is trapped. Except it turned out his love interest and his female nemesis were the same!

The woman is obviously based on David's mother, there are more than a few references to why Dave's father left her. The bushy rocks etc don't need much more explaining, tho there are several hidden sexual themes, shapes of ray guns, etc. It seems the creation of "Yellow Streak" was nothing but some sort of wierd revenge on womankind, sex, and David's mother, made into an unsaleable comic strip by it's creator, David's father. The Yellow Streak title has the obvious coward meaning, and perhaps another.

It's also a subtle kicker towards the end that the whole sorry mess, murders, suicides, misery etc are entirely because of David's love of women with big arses. Nice!
