Davis family (Sierra Leone)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Davis family was one of the last of the Nova Scotian settler families and though the family has descendants in the United States and Europe the settler name 'Davis' has died out. The Davis family was one of the original African American families and they are mentioned in the Book of Negroes and also in the Muster list of Birchtown blacks. George Davis was a successful trader in Nigeria and he inherited property in Settler Town, Sierra Leone.
