[edit] Biography
Robert Andrykowski was born in Arlington Heights, Illinois on March 1, 1961. Over time, his family moved to Nebraska, and subsequently to Denver, Colorado.[1]
As a teenager, he found work singing at various nightclubs throughout Denver, Colorado. By the late 1980s, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, eventually adopting the stage name Davis Daniel and landing a record deal with Polygram Records in 1991. His debut album, Fighting Fire with Fire, was issued that year; it produced four singles on the country charts, of which three went Top 40.[1]
By 1994, Polygram had encountered financial troubles; Daniel was then shifted to their Polydor division, which released his second album, Undeniable, in 1994.[3] After Polydor declared bankruptcy, its entire roster was moved to A&M Records in 1996. That year, Daniel released his third and final studio album, I Know a Place; however, A&M itself soon declared bankruptcy, and he was left without a record deal. In 2005, he announced plans to record an inependent album,[3] which was never released.
Daniel resides in Marietta, Georgia, with his wife and children.[3]
