David "Tex" Little

David Samuel "Tex" Little (December 26, 1902 - March 12, 2006) was one of the few surviving Americans veterans who served during the First World War or the WWI-era still alive at the start of 2006.
Little was born in Catawba, North Carolina. In 1919, at the age of 16, he enlisted in the army, and trained soldiers at Fort Dix, New Jersey. After the First World War, Little moved to Texas, and then finally to Jackson, Wyoming, where he was given the nickname "Tex".
