David "Wojo" Wojcinski (born September 18, 1980) is an Australian Rules footballer for the Geelong Cats.
[edit] Career
Originally from Heyfield in Gippsland, he is a defender and made his debut in 1999. He won the club's Most improved player award for 2004.
In 2007 Wojcinski returned from a serious knee injury to play a major part for the Geelong side with his pace off half back. He was rewarded with a premiership medal come September.
After an injury to a finger tendon in a 2008 pre-season practice match against Richmond Tigers,[1] Wojcinski required surgery to his right hand's liitle finger.[1] The surgery went well, and he is expected to miss out on only 3-4 weeks of football.[1]. David made a quick recovery from the finger surgery and played against Essedon in round 2.
[edit] Personal Information
David grew up in Heyfield, the son of Lee and Charlie Wojcinski, and has 3 sisters Deanne, Sarah and Emma. David is currently in a relationship with his girlfriend Casey and they have a son Archie together, who turned one on Grand Final Day 2007 when Geelong had a massive win over Port Adelaide.
