David Willson is the head band director of the Pride of the South Marching Band at the University of Mississippi. He has been the director of bands at the University of Mississippi since 1990. He is currently serving as president of Phi Beta Mu International, an international music fraternity. He is also a published musical academic.
He is a native of Jackson, Mississippi, and attended Provine High School and the University of Mississippi.
