David Vaughan (born February 18, 1983 in Rhuddlan, Denbighshire) is a Welsh professional football player. He currently plays for Spanish team Real Sociedad.

David started his career as a trainee on 1 August 2000 at Crewe Alexandra as an attacking full-back before manager Gradi turned him into a left-sided midfielder.
On 17 August 2007, Crewe accepted a £300,000 bid from Real Sociedad for Vaughan. Vaughan's transfer to Sociedad was completed in late August[1].

As of April 2004, he has played several times for Wales, including the 0-2 defeat by the United States on 26 May 2003, and in the 1-2 victory over Hungary on 31 March 2004. Vaughan also played in Wales' 3-2 win over Northern Ireland, against then Crewe team-mate Steve Jones.
