David Stewart Cross

David Stewart Cross (1928-1989) was the 2nd Bishop of Doncaster who was later translated to Blackburn. Born in 1928 and educated at Trinity College, Dublin [1] he was ordained in 1955. His first post was as Curate at Hexham. A noted broadcaster, he was Precentor at St Albans Cathedral[2]before his elevation to the Episcopate[3]”
