David Smerdon (born 1984) is a chess International Master from Brisbane, Australia.[1]
Late in 2007, David Smerdon achieved his third and final Grandmaster norm. However, before the Grandmaster Title can be awarded, he will need to achieve a FIDE rating of 2500. In January 2008, his FIDE rating was 2459. If he can improve his rating above the required 2500, he will become Australia's fourth Chess Grandmaster.
