David Seisay

David Seisay (aka MC Stranger aka D-Flex) was a pioneer in the Swedish hip hop scene. He enjoyed commercial success as part of Rob'n'Raz DLC which also included Lutricia McNeal, and the two producers Rob Wåtz and Rasmus Lindwall. A couple of their hits were "In Command" and "Take A Ride". He is now the owner of a personal fitness company and is often referred to in the media as Sweden's fitness guru.

He made up his mind to pursue a career in hip hop music by the age of thirteen and was drawn to the hip hop scene in New York where he met some of the more influential artists of the time, among them a young Heavy D. Seisay was quarterback for his high school football team and developed an interest for bodybuilding. He won a local Beefcake pageant and landed his first magazine cover.
The son of a diplomat and journalist, he grew up in Westchester County. He reluctantly agreed to go when his parents wanted him to attend university in Sweden. It was the early 1980s and hip hop was not yet established in Scandinavia but he managed, nevertheless, to score gigs in his spare time and help introduce the music he loved.

He abandoned his studies and pursued a career as a rapper under the name MC Stranger. He formed a hip hop act, the Sure Shot Groove with Complicated C (aka DJ Chaka) and released the EP Rhymes Are Flowing in 1989. One of his producers, Denniz Pop, would later go on to become a great sustenance for the Swedish music industry. He made his first single, the duet "Love 4 Love", with Leila K. This was his first collarboration with Rob N Raz. He changed his name to D-Flex and together with Rob N Raz formed two chart topping bands: RobnRaz DLC and RobnRaz Circus. He also enjoyed solo success on the British charts in 2002 with the track "Easier Said Than Done".
He writes a fitness advice column for Swedish Elle magazine and work as a personal fitness trainer for celebrities and others. He was an exclusive trainer for the Miss Sweden pageant candidates and he has also worked hard to promote recovery and lifestyle changes for young women with eating disorders.

- In his early childhood he had jazz legend Louis Armstrong as a neighbour.
- He performed at Wembley Stadium in 2002.
- Seisay attended UN school in Manhattan as a child.
- Both his parents are in the Social Register. His mother is a member of the Swedish nobility.
