H. David Schuringa (born 1952) is a Christian theologian, pastor, and professor. He is president of Crossroad Bible Institute, a Grand Rapids, Michigan, organization that provides faith-based reentry education for prison inmates. He was ordained as a Minister of the Word in the Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRCNA) in 1982.
Schuringa was born and raised in the Chicago area. He graduated with a B.A. in theology from Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, Illinois. He has received two Masters degrees from Westminster Theological Seminary (Philadelphia) and a Th.M. from Calvin Theological Seminary. His doctorate, in the area of homiletics is from the Kampen Theological University.
Before leading Crossroad Bible Institute, Schuringa's full-time work included serving as pastor of two Christian Reformed Churches, Beverly CRC and Bethany CRC, both in western Michigan. Schuringa was professor of Practical Theology for eight years at Westminster Seminary California. He has served as adjunct professor at Calvin Theological Seminary and Kuyper College.
