David Ray Hate Crimes Prevention Act

The David Ray Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2007 (H.R. 254) or David's Law, is a bill first introduced in the United States House of Representatives on January 5th, 2007 by Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee of Texas. It is designed to reinforce hate crimes, and specifically makes sexual orientation a protected class alongside race and gender.
