David Pickles

David Pickles is a first class cricketer who played 41 matches for Yorkshire County Cricket Club between 1957 and 1960. He also played for Yorkshire Second XI during this time.

A right arm fast medium bowler, he took 96 wickets at just 21.47 with a best of 7 for 61 against Somerset, against whom he had his only 10 wicket in a match haul. He took 5 wickets in a match 4 times in all, including 5 for 42 in a Roses Match. He had no pretentions as a tail end batsman, scoring just 74 runs at 3.7 with a top score of 12. He took 10 catches in the field.

He was born on November 16, 1935 in Halifax, Yorkshire.
