David Pickering (rugby player)

David Pickering is a former Wales international rugby union player. He played club rugby for Llanelli RFC and Neath RFC. He attained 23 Caps for Wales, eight as captain, between 1983 and 1987. He is now Chairman of the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU), serves on the board of the Millennium Stadium and is a member of the IRB Council.
He then went on to coach Neath for five years before becoming Team Manager of the Wales A team and subsequently the Wales national team.
During the Welsh Grand Slam winning game with France (15th March 2008) he sat next to Prince William at The Millennium Stadium.
