David Perno is the head baseball coach at the University of Georgia. In his seven seasons as the school's head coach, he has compiled a 245-181-1 (.574) record. He has led the program to three NCAA tournament appearances, including 3 of the last 5 College World Series. He was named the 2004 Coach of the Year by Baseball America. His 2006 team went 47-23, making it one of the winningest seasons in program history. However, the next year, in 2007, the team went a depressing 23-33. In 2008, he was named the SEC coach of the year. He is a former player and assistant coach at Georgia.
