David Paul O'Connell is a North Dakota Democratic-NPL Party member of the North Dakota Senate, representing the 6th district since 1989. He currently serves as Minority Leader. He was a member of the North Dakota House of Representatives from 1983 through 1988.
O'Connell serves on the board of directors for the North Central Electric Cooperative, and is a member of the Knights of Columbus. He lives in Lansford, North Dakota.
